My payment is due around my transfer date. What should I do?
You can make a payment directly to Valon on or after your transfer date. If you'd prefer not to wait until the transfer date, you have the option of sending a payment to your prior servicer. Your prior servicer will forward the payment to us, and we'll apply it to your account.
- There may be delays in receiving and processing a payment from your prior servicer. We recommend sending payments directly to Valon to avoid delays.
💡 Tip: Remember, Valon won't charge you late fees or conduct any negative credit reporting during the first 2 months after your transfer.
Can I make a payment to Valon before the transfer date?
No, we cannot accept payments until your transfer date. On your transfer date, you can begin making payments by any of the methods we offer.
What if I made a payment to my prior servicer?
Don’t worry! During the first 60 days after your transfer date, your previous servicer will forward your payments to us. After this period, any payments sent to your prior servicer may be returned to you. As mentioned, we won't charge you any late fees or conduct any negative credit reporting for 2 months following your transfer.
To see if Valon received a payment, register for an account online. Your account will be updated as any payments are received and applied.
