Will my payment method change due to the transfer of my mortgage?
No, you may continue making your mortgage payments as you do today. If your mortgage payment is automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account, your AutoPay enrollment will continue without interruption. Payments sent to your current payment address will continue to be processed following the transfer. During the transition, checks made payable to either Valon Mortgage or Carrington Mortgage Services will be accepted.
Will my current communication methods change?
No, if you are set up on paperless delivery preferences, they will stay the same.
Will the phone number change to reach support?
No, the current phone number for support will remain the same.
Will the website change?
No, the website will remain the same, and you can log in the same way as before the transfer.
Will I have to change my password to log in to my online account?
No, you will still access your online account the same way and use the same password as normal.
What is changing as a result of the transfer to Carrington Mortgage?
Beginning August 1, 2026, you will begin seeing Carrington Mortgage Services, LLC on your mortgage statements, online account, emails, and other servicing communications. Carrington will become your primary point of contact for questions about your mortgage loan.
Will the transfer affect any of my optional insurance products?
If you have mortgage life insurance, disability insurance, or another optional insurance product associated with your mortgage loan, the merger and transfer of servicing to Carrington will not affect your coverage or the continued availability of your insurance.
Will this transfer affect my credit reporting?
We won't report negatively to the credit bureaus during the first 2 months following your transfer to Carrington Mortgage.
Will the transfer affect my loan terms?
No, your loan terms will remain the same and will not change due to the transfer.
