If your property is in Wisconsin and you have escrowed your property taxes, Valon will pay your taxes early—on or before December 31st. However, you can let us know if you would rather:
- Receive a check and pay the taxing authority yourself
-
- Note: Your escrowed tax balance would be sent to you via check by December 20th. If the taxing authority required a higher payment amount, you would be responsible for paying the difference.
-
- Have Valon pay your taxes when they’re due, typically by January 31st
If you want to change your tax payment option, you’ll need to notify us by November 1st. Changes requested after that date will not take effect until the following year.
💡 Tip: If you choose to pay the taxes yourself, you must send us proof of payment by March 31st. If we don’t receive this, we’ll have to pay your next tax payment for you.
