Based on their current insurance company, some Valon homeowners may qualify to transfer their homeowners insurance broker of record to our trusted partner, VIU by HUB. (Learn more about VIU by HUB and the benefits they offer.) Transferring to VIU by HUB costs nothing, and your current insurance policy and carrier remain the same.
If you qualify, there are two ways to request a transfer:
- You’ll see a prompt to request a broker of record transfer when registering for an online Valon account.
- If you don’t fill out this prompt at registration, you can also find the option to transfer your broker of record by logging in to your account and navigating to the “Explore” page.
For either option, simply follow the prompt and submit your broker of record transfer request form, which only takes a few seconds. The transfer process will begin shortly after and VIU by HUB will let you know when the transfer is complete.
If you don’t qualify to transfer your broker of record to VIU by HUB because of your current insurance company, you won’t see the prompts above or be able to transfer your broker of record through Valon. We’re working to support more insurance companies, and as we do, we may reach out to previously non-qualifying homeowners with the opportunity to transfer their broker of record.
