What are NSF fees?
NSF (nonsufficient funds) fees occur when a payment is made using an account that doesn't have enough money available to cover the payment.
What happens if I try to make a payment with nonsufficient funds?
- Your payment will fail
- You’ll automatically receive a payment failure email
- Valon will charge an NSF fee
- You’ll be able to make a new payment to be up to date
Why does Valon charge NSF fees?
We charge NSF fees to cover the costs we incur when processing NSF transactions.
How can I prevent NSF Fees?
- Review your periodic billing statement each month to know how much you owe
- Keep track of upcoming expenses so you know how much money you'll have in your account next time you make a payment, and double-check that your account has enough funds before making the payment
- See if your bank allows you to set up alerts on your account when you fall under a certain amount
