We can only respond to requests directly from mortgage lenders about transferring an FHA case number or an appraisal. When requesting a transfer, the mortgage lender must:
- Obtain a signed letter from the borrower requesting the transfer. The letter must ask specifically for the FHA case number or appraisal to be transferred to the new lender—it cannot be a blanket copy of an authorization for verifications.
- Email setup.desk@valon.com with the signed letter and the following information:
For an FHA case number transfer
- FHA case number
- Borrower name
- Lender name
- Lender FHA ID
- Appraisal transfer: yes or no
For an FHA or conventional appraisal transfer
- Borrower name
- Lender name
Moreover, the borrower must contact Valon to cancel any open loan applications with us before a transfer can be completed.
